Cream Cheese and Roasted Chilli Balls
Impress your guests with this easy to make and beautifully presented appetiser
Ingredients
250g ULTRA FOOD INNOVATIONS Cream Cheese
1/2 Cup of Fresh Chilli
1/2 Cup of Garlic
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Sesame Seeds
Olive Oil for Coating
Thyme for Serving
Instructions
Chop or grate chilli and garlic into fine flakes
Line baking tray with olive oil
Sprinkle grated chilli and garlic onto tray and bake at a low temperature to dehydrate the flakes at
150º C for about 30 mins - Keep checking that the flakes don't burn.
Once the flakes are ready pour into a bowl with salt, pepper, and sesame seeds to taste
Roll cream cheese into balls (1 teaspoon each). Drop into spice mixture. Cover and marinate several hours at room temperature. (Cheese balls will keep, covered, in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks; bring to room temperature before serving.)
Serve on a bed of thyme for extra flavour along with crackers or Melba toast.
